HERA Network Achievements

The HERA Network’s successes to date include

  • the creation of effective central administrative body for trans-European funding calls
  • the establishment and successful management of four pioneering humanities-focused JRPs
  • the establishment of strong, trusting relationships among funding agencies
  • the sharing of best practice across agencies, particularly in knowledge exchange and articulation of impact
  • A positive impact on international strategy formulation at agency level
  • the achievement of closer integration between EU15 and EU13 countries
  • the establishment of a HERA “brand” in Europe on behalf of humanities
