Clare Brass, designer, was a consultant in Milan, specialising in social and environmental issues. She moved to London, where she was Head of Sustainability at Design Council. She left to set up SEED Foundation – Social Environmental Enterprise + Design – in 2007, exploring new avenues of cross-collaborative entrepreneurship for designers. SEED Foundation’s aim is to turn designers from perpetuators of social and environmental problems, into key contributors to solving them. Clare is a part time senior design tutor with Design London, focussing on sustainability and social enterprise with business and engineering students (Imperial College) and design students (IDE, Royal College of Art).
